Dealiteful is pre-launch, so if something is broken we probably want to hear about it more than you want to report it. Email us and you get a person, usually the same day.
Getting started
I see no deals nearby
Most often there is no participating location in range yet — the beacon network is still growing. Check that Bluetooth and the location permission are on, then try the Compare tab, which works anywhere.
Why does it ask for location?
iOS and Android treat Bluetooth beacon scanning as location access, so the permission is the only way to hear a beacon. The match is made on your phone and no location is sent to us.
Do I need an account?
Not to browse or redeem. Saved deals live on your device.
Which phones are supported?
Recent iOS and Android versions with Bluetooth Low Energy — effectively any phone from the last several years. Exact minimum versions land with the store listings.
Notifications
It buzzes too often
Mute the categories you do not care about, or switch notifications off entirely and open the Deals tab when you want to look. You get one notification per location per visit either way.
I get nothing at all
Check the notification permission, then battery-saver settings — aggressive power saving can stop background scanning on some Android devices.
Deals & redeeming
The shop would not honour a deal
Offers are the merchant's own, so we cannot force one — but tell us which location and deal it was. We follow up, and repeat offenders come off the network.
My saved deal says expired
Saved deals keep their original validity. Once the hours pass, the card shows expired rather than sending you over for nothing.
How do I actually redeem one?
It depends on the deal. Some open a card you show at the counter; some show a barcode or QR code the shop scans, which applies the discount at the till; others link out to a page with more information or to the shop's site to buy.

Where do prices come from?
From Dealilah, our own live price-comparison service, which reads retailer and marketplace data. Prices can move between the search and the checkout.
A nearby price was wrong
In-store figures depend on what a retailer publishes per store and can lag. Send us the product and shop and we will chase the source.
Privacy & data
Delete my data
Saved deals are on your device: clear them in the app or uninstall. For anything we hold — an early-access or merchant email, diagnostics tied to your device — email privacy@dealiteful.com with "delete my data" and we handle it.
What exactly is collected?
Beacon proximity handled on-device, a push token if you allow notifications, Compare searches, and aggregate crash and usage diagnostics. The privacy policy has the full list.
